They did not quit against the liar…. We have said all along that the Bliar-fronted regime was a trout, a stooge for Big Business.
Today’s DAILY MAIL carries a piece eventually showing the links between Blair and the USA Big Business…
The ‘reason’ why they are paying him almost a quarter of a £million for his ‘lecture’ is to do with what ‘services’ Blair performed for all manner of Big Biz agencies and interests while he occupied the office of UK Prime Minister.
The so-called war - the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan are in the service of Big Business....
There is no mystery. .
And it is Blair’s stooge role for MIC and Big Biz that explains why he was so zealous for funding the wasteful, debts-causing Crossrail scam in the name of London…

That ‘Crossrail Bill’ is now in the UK House of Commons, [12 July 2006] being allegedly ‘scrutinised’ by the ‘Crossrail Bill Select Committee’
Khoodeelaar! court action may bring wider attention to Crossrail attack on the East End of London than may at first appear to be the case.
For a start, the series of actions that is about to begin, will include by definition the type of detailed examination of the evidence against Crossrail that has not been allowed to happen by the CrossRail Bill Select Committee in the UK House of Commons.
Although that examination should have taken place, if the claim - that the process of law –making in the UK parliament was taking place – or does take place - at the highest democratic and accountable level were to be justifiable
The realities as we have observed in June 2006 make that [above] expectation a most unrealistic one. The 'meetings' of the UK Housei of Commons 'Select committee' on the Crossrail Bill were conducted in an openly hostile way to those who had any serious objections to put against the Crossrail Bill.
For a start there is no culture of democratic accountability in the UK parliament. No wonder that even a diehard Tory like Quentin Hogg, himself no stranger to constitutional law, was forced to conclude that the system of ‘parliament’ that existed in the UK was one he could describe as an elected dictatorship.
A dictatorship, albeit an elected one.
But then, Adolf Hitler’s Nazi party too had got elected at one stage,!
So what is the difference?
I shall report on the expected spaces that make up any alleged difference and on the danger of letting the elected dictatorship extinguish any remaining democratic values from the plastic parliament.
Can a programme of court actions produce results that a rally of thousands might not be able to?
I think it can do. And I am of the view after organising this Khoodeelaar! Campaign for the past 31 months to stop CrossRail digging holes in the Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 area and mounting other assaults on the community in the East End of London.

We are not expecting anything like the length of the McLibel cases. But we are most empathically about to commence something that may well end up as being the second such court action. Are we right to embark on this? Are we right to say that court actions would cost less person hours than organizing and maintaining massive demonstrations involving thousands of human beings would entail?
These questions are pertinent right now as we have reached the last phase before formal foiling of constitutional law challenges in court against the promoters and other institutionalised and institutional touts for the CrossRail project and its threat to the East End of London.
Long before the Crossrail Bill Select Committee [House of Commons] formally 'heard' some of the evidence against the CrossRail hole Bill threat to the Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 area, Khoodeelaar! the campaign against CrossRail had decided on a set of actions that included a specific constitutional dimension. After witnessing the blatant obstruction against key presenters of anti-CrossRail evidence in the Committee during June 2006, Khoodeelaar! Has now decided to test the UK law in a way that will perhaps bring the Human Rights Act 1998 into very unexpected focus.
1. The main constitutional law allegation that I could find against the Secretary of State was that he lied in and to Parliament, he misled parliament and he wrongly failed to tell the House of Commons fully and duly of the requirement that UK law had to comply with the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental freedoms.
2. That was based on the preliminary and literal reading of the contents of the Crossrail Bill, as introduced to the House of Commons by [the then] Transport Secretary Alistair Darling on 22 February 2005.
3. Having observed since that date the many activities of the Transport Secretary and the rest of the groupings that make up the ‘promoter’ of the Crossrail Bill, it is clear that compatibility with constitutional requirements is not at the top of the priorities of the UK executive seeking to get the Crossrail Bill through Parliament.
4. It has been clear from the behaviour of the two successive holders of the office of Secretary of State at the UK Department for Transport over the past 24 months that compliance with the Treaty obligations on ECHR is nothing more than a nuisance to them and to the Blair regime. They have shown remarkably consistent evidence of hostility to the rule of law and due process and constitutionality for the promotion of the CrossRail project
5. It was only through the sustained campaign on the ground over the past 31 months backed up with original Khoodeelaar!! Legal analyses of the UK executive's behaviour that we have been able to show that the Secretary of State was wrong to have introduced the Crossrail Bill in the shape it was introduced and that he was wrong to have flouted the UK’s constitutional law making treaty obligations that he did.
Especially, as I have pointed out on dozens of occasions already including in pieces carried on indymedia UK and international sites, about the abuses of the executive powers to make several hundred million £ available to the promoters without any justification.
That abuse of public money has included the abuses of the local tiers of peoples and community representation.
Where Ruth Kelly herself lives, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council has been one abysmally anti-democratic, anti-community, cabal of corruption, misrepresentation of the local people that is found anywhere in the whole of the UK.
And has Ruth Kelly’s aid a word in opposition to the corrupt Tower Hamlets Council?
Has she spoken a word in support of the community that is threatened by Crossrail?

There is a piece in the Times, attributed to a Lucy Alexander, prompting property speculation.
But she manages to attack and misrepresent the East End in a way that would not be expected if she wrote a truthful, respectful and honest piece. As, she would have written differently and made the opposite points the racist and the offensive comments she has published via the Times.
The fact that the piece is apparently about property but reproduces some of the most racist and ignorant stereotypes and falsifications against the Bangladeshis, is not unconnected with the same attitude that underlies the behaviour of the local Tower Hamlets Council in its own peddling of the CrossRail hole-plotters' lies.
More on that in the later parts of this commentary.
Back to Lucy Alexander and her piece as published by the Times today.
She offers no evidence far less explanation. In a piece that is essentially about property speculation, she as manages to perpetuate a number op prejudicial stereotypes at the expense of the Bangladeshis.
She does not say what studies she made of the UK economy, or what evidence she ever looked for to explain the causal link between Bangladeshi women not working and the perpetuated suggestion that the preponderance of ‘worklessness’ is attributable to some mysterious propensity on the parts of the Bangladeshis generally and the Bangladeshi women in particular.
Lucy Alexander must have been resident in a fantasy part of Tower Hamlets in the East End of London for her to say that :
“two thirds of local Bangladeshi women of working age were unemployed. My flatmates and I were often the only women in the street not wearing burkas. A local policeman kindly informed me, while handing me a rape alarm, that my street was known as “the front line” in fights between rival gangs of drug dealers.”

There is a piece in the Times, attributed to a Lucy Alexander, prompting property speculation.
But she manages to attack and misrepresent the East End in a way that would not be expected if she wrote a truthful, respectful and honest piece. As, she would have written differently and made the opposite points the racist and the offensive comments she has published via the Times.
The fact that the piece is apparently about property but reproduces some of the most racist and ignorant stereotypes and falsifications against the Bangladeshis, is not unconnected with the same attitude that underlies the behaviour of the local Tower Hamlets Council in its own peddling of the CrossRail hole-plotters' lies.

Back to Lucy Alexander and her piece as published by the Times today.
She offers no evidence far less explanation. In a piece that is essentially about property speculation, she as manages to perpetuate a number op prejudicial stereotypes at the expense of the Bangladeshis.
She does not say what studies she made of the UK economy, or what evidence she ever looked for to explain the causal link between Bangladeshi women not working and the perpetuated suggestion that the preponderance of ‘worklessness’ is attributable to some mysterious propensity on the parts of the Bangladeshis generally and the Bangladeshi women in particular.
Lucy Alexander must have been resident in a fantasy part of Tower Hamlets in the East End of London for her to say that :
“two thirds of local Bangladeshi women of working age were unemployed. My flatmates and I were often the only women in the street not wearing burkas. A local policeman kindly informed me, while handing me a rape alarm, that my street was known as “the front line” in fights between rival gangs of drug dealers.”

That further proceedings on the Crossrail Bill shall be suspended until the next Session of Parliament:
That if a Bill is presented in the next Session in the same terms as those in which the Crossrail Bill stood when proceedings on it were suspended in this Session—
(a) the Bill shall be ordered to be printed and shall be deemed to have been read the first time and second time; and
(b) the Bill shall be deemed to have been reported from the Select Committee and to have been re-committed to a Public Bill Committee; and
(c) the Standing Orders and practice of the House applicable to the Bill, so far as complied with or dispensed with in this Session or in the Session 2005-06 or 2004-05 shall be deemed to have complied with or (as the case may be) dispensed with in the next Session.
That these Orders be Standing Orders of the House.
This motion is technical in nature, and will ensure that the Crossrail Bill continues into the next Session. If enacted, the Bill will allow for the construction of the scheme. It is a hybrid Bill. It was introduced on 22 February 2005 and received its Second Reading on 19 July 2005 with a majority of 375. The Select Committee, ably chaired by my hon. Friend the Member for Mansfield (Mr. Meale), commenced its work on 17 January 2006 and completed its—unenviable—task on 16 October 2007, having convened for an impressive 84 sitting days, including a few evenings, and having considered more than 200 petitions. I am sure the whole House will once again join me in thanking the Committee, as well as the Clerks, Hansard reporters and doorkeepers, for their dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm during the past 21 months.
The motion’s purpose is simple. It will ensure that the Bill can be carried over for consideration in the next Session and that all the work that I have briefly described is not wasted. Carrying a Bill over from one Session to another is, of course, well precedented; indeed, this Bill has already been carried over from one Parliament to another.
If the motion is passed, there will be no curtailing of scrutiny in the next Session. There will be the usual opportunities for Members to consider the Bill line by line during the Public Bill Committee stage. Allocation of places on the Committee will be on a first come, first served basis. I urge Members to speak to their Whips as soon as possible if they wish to secure a place. I can say with confidence that the Committee’s deliberations will be measured in days or weeks, rather than months.
Whatever outstanding reservations Members might have about aspects of the project, I do not believe that anyone wants the Bill to be infinitely delayed or, worse still, cancelled, which is what could happen if they object to the motion before us today. I remind the House that there will be a Select Committee in another place to consider remaining concerns of petitioners. With that in mind, I commend the motion to the House.

This comment has been posted on the Harrow Times web site in response to their report on Tom Harris UK ‘Transport’ minister
Khoodeelaar! The East End of London campaign against the CrossRail hole Bill [‘the CrossRail Bill’ in the UK House of Commons] notes the unconstitutional attitude as expressed by the transport minister Tom Harris in your report.
Mr Harris is showing undemocratic contempt for the principles and the practice of the sovereignty of parliament by expressing the presumption that he does not believe “that anyone wants the bill to be infinitely delayed or, worse still, cancelled”
Where, in any of the recorded contributions from any MP was there any suggestion of infinite delay?
Mr Harris is using stock phrases so typical of machine placemen in regimes that abhor democratic scrutiny of executive plots.
The particular Crossrail hole plot is linked with Big Business lobby of regional and UK central executive careerists and time-servers typified by the likes of the ‘Undone mayor’ Ken Livingstone.
Livingstone has hogged most of the limelight around Gordon Brown’s recent and unconvincing subscription to the mysterious merits of this scheme as the answer to the pressing transport needs of the people of London.
The various promotional utterances by the Gordon Brown entourage during the first week of October 2007 around the CrossRail hole plot were all staged as part of the now-thwarted snap election that Brown was almost ready to call.
That snap poll alone was Brown’s reason for staging the stunt about ‘CrossRail’. Fur the best part of the previous decade, as the UK Finance Minister, Gordon Brown and Ken Livingstone had not agreed on any of the substantive issues especially about matters to d with the public finance of private infrastructure projects.
How significant therefore that these very two adversaries suddenly found themselves behaving - for rather pretending on stages that had been specially set up in and metaphorically] around Bournemouth in September 2007- as if they had been inseparable twins for as long as memory served!
And just days before Brown was poised to call a snap election!
It is already emerging that Livingstone was ‘perhaps’ a tad too hasty to celebrate the ‘deal’ by claiming that he had ‘delivered’ CrossRail, thus showing up any tangible opponent to his ambition to remain the occupant of the ego-boosting office of ‘Undone mayor’ forever!
A democratic debate and scrutiny in any legitimate forum, far from being a tendency towards delaying an appropriate and sound plan, can ensure that any serious drawbacks that are found in or that remain in any plan that is supposed to be backed by several £Billions of public cash are dealt with thus sparing the public and the public purse avoidable wastes and losses in the future.
However, even if there were evidence to support the demand for a thorough review and examination of the transport needs in London in the context of the Uk economy including the central factor of the choice of the optimum mode of transport to meet the present and the mid term needs, such as Khoodeelaar! has been making for nearly 4 years of opposition to the current CrossRail hole plot, the likes of Tom Harris do not seem disposed to tolerate the emergence of such a rational answer to the transport problems.
Instead, they have gone for the fanatical short cut: they utter the mantra of Crossrail rather than talk about addressing the huge transport needs that the UK economy must see met and the capacity of the economy.
They have been behaving like a cult that has been recruited to the secret Crossrail plan which they insist must be supported by £Billions of public money but without parliamentary or democratic scrutiny!
Those who have been placed as the current UK Govt front men and women to tout for the CrossRail plot – as distinctly different from arguing for the democratically arrived at solution/s to the transport needs such as a mode that best suits the given regional and [allegedly] strategic needs, the demands and the sustainable capacity of the UK public purse [whence the main bulk of the costs is being forced by the pluggers of the CrossRail scam] have been discrediting their own claims to be respecters of the democratic process of decision-making by undermining even the most tokenistic of debates, the most pliant of scrutinies by exaggerating the adverse effects of upholding democracy!
During the Second Reading held in the House of Commons in July 2005, the then CrossRail hole plot Bill minister Alistair Darling led the insertion into the terms of reference for the ‘CrossRail Bill select committee of MPs’ of a BARRIER, a ban, thus preventing that select committee from scrutiny the ‘Crossrail Bill’!
So the utterances by Tom Harris must be to do with the fact that even he knows that when the same Bill goes to the currently constituted Upper Chamber and is subjected to the corresponding select committee procedures, it may actually be scrutinized in an unpredictable way, so unpredictably that the truth about the fundamentally flawed nature of the plot may come out!
Is that what Tom Harris is aware of and is ‘career wise’ ‘worried’ about?
If it is, he is right to be worried!
Because no honest, informed and responsible scrutiny of the ‘Crossrail Bill’ as it is, can support it in the context of the economy, the society, the environment and the finance.

But Livingstone also knows that CRASSrail may in the end come unstuck and with it Livingstone’s very own next plans for the remainder of his egotistic ambitions at the expense of the people of London. So he is now embarking on a series of spins to talk up the sinking CRASSrail scheme. Livingstone has issued today a news release that is full of holes. He makes no direct statement, instead he refers to an employee of the GLA to promote the latest lie as ‘fact’. Livingstone’s spin released today quotes him as stating as follows: - ‘Third, as Doug Oakervee has outlined, I am determined to ensure that people living in East London can take up the thousands of jobs that Crossrail will offer - Cross London Rail Links limited has estimated that as many as 14,000 jobs will be created, many of these in the construction industry. I will ensure that the relevant agencies in London provide the right training and opportunities so that Londoners from all its diverse communities have the chance to work on this flagship project.” This is another lying spin by Livingstone. Livingstone is doing this to undermine the campaign against CrossRail lies in the East End Livingstone’s lying will cost people in London dear. Estimate of 14000 jobs does NOT mean that the jobs are there! It is a brazen, shameless lie and it must be nailed immediately. Even Livingstone cannot fast-forward 10 years and make 2007 appear as 2017. East London has been and continues to be a deeply disenfranchised area because of the corrupt policies of the local institutions. The London Crossrail hole plot-backing, double-talking, untruthful evening paper the EVENING STANDARD has run the braying for CRASSrail in the past 4 years in a way that no other print title has done.
There couldn’t be any other print title doing that anyway.
[I am writing out the existence of the in-house lies-sheet the ‘Londoner’ that has been abused as it would be to boost Ken Livingstone’s fragile ego and shield him from insecurities]
The standardless EVENING STANDARD is still the main ‘evening paper’ in the London area. The free sheets, a very recent and shallow media marketing affair themselves, are yet to become as widely available as the standardless EVENING STANDARD.
So the monopoly ‘news’ that the lying EVENING STANDARD manufactures, confects, carries and perpetrates remains unchallenged in print.
The damage is done daily to the cause of ordinary knowledge about ordinary life in and around London.
The EVENING STANDARD is stuffed with garbage, spin and fabrications.
And it lies.
It has a line-up of liars and fabricators as 'columnists and commentators' whose perpetrations cannot be even listed in full, let alone be comprehensively dissected and exposed, without exhausting the reserves of patience of an ordinary mortal.
But there is the odd occasion when the lying evening title can be caught out. Like in small and unprominently displayed items it carries under the intoxication of recent CRASSrail [and similar, like the pr-Olympic Games hosting bid for 2012 stunts] propaganda windfalls.
So crass has been [and is] the EVENING STANDARD in its CRASSRAIL triumphalism that it has been publishing a number [which have now produced what can accurately be treated as a series] of so-called news items that contain information which contradict the claims made by the evening Standard itself for Crossrail.
One such piece has been found in the EVENING STANDARD’s first editions available in the East End of London at 1140 Hrs today [Monday 15 October 2007].
By-lined to their ‘transport editor’ Dick Murray [whose name has been mostly absent from the space reserved for names of the authors of the pieces promoting Crossrail in the Standard over their past few years], the piece is carried on page 8 and headlined, “Widen Crossrail to benefit all of the South-East”, the item quotes John Prideaux of Superlink [an alternative to Crossrail scheme] as follows, “We remain concerned that so much money is being spent on a rail scheme that does so little for so few”.
Khoodeelaar! has said much more than just this for years and we are able to confirm that the racist EVENING STANDARD has persistently refused to publish what we have been saying despite that fact that our analysis has been far more accurate and comprehensive, far-reaching and economically appropriate than those attributed to any other source of criticism of the CRASSrail hole plot.
I shall expose the rest of the Dick Murray piece in the next parts of my examination of the latest CRASSrail hole plot lying by the London EVENING STANDARD.
I shall also show how it is discreditable that the so-called Superlink alternative has been messed up by its own promoters, including by Michael Schabas.
Although thy EVENING STANDARD piece as published did not refer to Schabas, it is Schabas that has been making the running as the prize idiot who posed at one stage in the past 10 months as an expert [!] of some sort skilled to expose the lying by some of the tea peddling the CRASSrail ‘merits’ before the poodle committee of MPs. The Schabas line was maintained in the months that followed.
He kept popping up and made sure each time to have himself referred to as having played a major part in the Channel Tunnel rail link.
In fact he was still referring to the Stupidlink alternative until a fortnight or s ago and surprise surprise, he changed his tune as fast as Gordon Brown cud utter the word Crossrail!
With the likes of Schabas being or posing at being at once experts against Crossrail and as exponents of the so-called alternative, there could be no chance of establishing that the ‘mainstream’ public opinion the UK should have been formed on correct and competent information about what the whole Crossrail thing was about.
That is why I have spent the amount of time, energy and resource in creating the analytical, evidential and representational foundation upon which a correct and infirmed decision can be made about what the transport needs of London are and what are the transport needs likely to be in the foreseeable future... What the economic conditions are and could be.

Alistair Darling, Gordon Brown's 'successor' as UK finance Minister, was the subject of several adverse comments during the weekend. Especially on Sunday 14 October 2007, he was unfavourably compared with the Opposition Conservative counterpart, George Osbourne. The interview as shown on the BBC 1 slot the Politics Show during the day, was also commented on when observers pointed out THAT Darling dodged the questions on the show.. Later on in the evening, the otherwise pliant, servile and time-serving Rory Bremner kept up the appearance of his Channel 4 'satire' [what satire!] programme being 'in tune with the political atmosphere' by parading a series of pointless and fake sketches around Gordon Brown to whose image he attached that of a supine Alistair Darling. Only the two Johns ['Bird and Fortune'] could warrant any recognition of being remotely authentic about the ghastly week of fakery that Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling had inflicted on the political time. But the sub-editor/s at the INDEPENDENT must be noted for coming up with the headline containing the words 'codswallop chancellor' that may outlast the tenure of Darling and Brown at their given official addresses in Downing Street. Mr Harris is using stock phrases so typical of machine placemen in regimes that abhor democratic scrutiny of executive plots.
The particular Crossrail hole plot is linked with Big Business lobby of regional and UK central executive careerists and time-servers typified by the likes of the ‘Undone mayor’ Ken Livingstone.
Livingstone has hogged most of the limelight around Gordon Brown’s recent and unconvincing subscription to the mysterious merits of this scheme as the answer to the pressing transport needs of the people of London.
The various promotional utterances by the Gordon Brown entourage during the first week of October 2007 around the CrossRail hole plot were all staged as part of the now-thwarted snap election that Brown was almost ready to call.
That snap poll alone was Brown’s reason for staging the stunt about ‘CrossRail’. Fur the best part of the previous decade, as the UK Finance Minister, Gordon Brown and Ken Livingstone had not agreed on any of the substantive issues especially about matters to d with the public finance of private infrastructure projects.
How significant therefore that these very two adversaries suddenly found themselves behaving - for rather pretending on stages that had been specially set up in and metaphorically] around Bournemouth in September 2007- as if they had been inseparable twins for as long as memory served!
And just days before Brown was poised to call a snap election!
It is already emerging that Livingstone was ‘perhaps’ a tad too hasty to celebrate the ‘deal’ by claiming that he had ‘delivered’ CrossRail, thus showing up any tangible opponent to his ambition to remain the occupant of the ego-boosting office of ‘Undone mayor’ forever!
A democratic debate and scrutiny in any legitimate forum, far from being a tendency towards delaying an appropriate and sound plan, can ensure that any serious drawbacks that are found in or that remain in any plan that is supposed to be backed by several £Billions of public cash are dealt with thus sparing the public and the public purse avoidable wastes and losses in the future.
However, even if there were evidence to support the demand for a thorough review and examination of the transport needs in London in the context of the Uk economy including the central factor of the choice of the optimum mode of transport to meet the present and the mid term needs, such as Khoodeelaar! has been making for nearly 4 years of opposition to the current CrossRail hole plot, the likes of Tom Harris do not seem disposed to tolerate the emergence of such a rational answer to the transport problems.
Instead, they have gone for the fanatical short cut: they utter the mantra of Crossrail rather than talk about addressing the huge transport needs that the UK economy must see met and the capacity of the economy.
They have been behaving like a cult that has been recruited to the secret Crossrail plan which they insist must be supported by £Billions of public money but without parliamentary or democratic scrutiny!
Those who have been placed as the current UK Govt front men and women to tout for the CrossRail plot – as distinctly different from arguing for the democratically arrived at solution/s to the transport needs such as a mode that best suits the given regional and [allegedly] strategic needs, the demands and the sustainable capacity of the UK public purse [whence the main bulk of the costs is being forced by the pluggers of the CrossRail scam] have been discrediting their own claims to be respecters of the democratic process of decision-making by undermining even the most tokenistic of debates, the most pliant of scrutinies by exaggerating the adverse effects of upholding democracy!
During the Second Reading held in the House of Commons in July 2005, the then CrossRail hole plot Bill minister Alistair Darling led the insertion into the terms of reference for the ‘CrossRail Bill select committee of MPs’ of a BARRIER, a ban, thus preventing that select committee from scrutiny the ‘Crossrail Bill’!
So the utterances by Tom Harris must be to do with the fact that even he knows that when the same Bill goes to the currently constituted Upper Chamber and is subjected to the corresponding select committee procedures, it may actually be scrutinized in an unpredictable way, so unpredictably that the truth about the fundamentally flawed nature of the plot may come out!
Is that what Tom Harris is aware of and is ‘career wise’ ‘worried’ about?
If it is, he is right to be worried!
Because no honest, informed and responsible scrutiny of the ‘Crossrail Bill’ as it is, can support it in the context of the economy, the society, the environment and the finance.

There is a piece in the Times, attributed to a Lucy Alexander, prompting property speculation.
But she manages to attack and misrepresent the East End in a way that would not be expected if she wrote a truthful, respectful and honest piece. As, she would have written differently and made the opposite points the racist and the offensive comments she has published via the Times.
The fact that the piece is apparently about property but reproduces some of the most racist and ignorant stereotypes and falsifications against the Bangladeshis, is not unconnected with the same attitude that underlies the behaviour of the local Tower Hamlets Council in its own peddling of the CrossRail hole-plotters' lies.

Back to Lucy Alexander and her piece as published by the Times today.
She offers no evidence far less explanation. In a piece that is essentially about property speculation, she as manages to perpetuate a number op prejudicial stereotypes at the expense of the Bangladeshis.
She does not say what studies she made of the UK economy, or what evidence she ever looked for to explain the causal link between Bangaldeshi women not working and the perpetuated suggestion that the preponderance of ‘worklessness’ is attributable to some mysterious propensity on the parts of the Bangladeshis generally and the Bangladeshi women in particular.
Lucy Alexander must have been resident in a fantasy part of Tower Hamlets in the East End of London for her to say that :
“two thirds of local Bangladeshi women of working age were unemployed. My flatmates and I were often the only women in the street not wearing burkas. A local policeman kindly informed me, while handing me a rape alarm, that my street was known as “the front line” in fights between rival gangs of drug dealers.”

The London Crossrail hole plot-backing, double-talking, untruthful evening paper the EVENING STANDARD has run the braying for CRASSrail in the past 4 years in a way that no other print title has done.
There couldn’t be any other print title doing that anyway.
[I am writing out the existence of the in-house lies-sheet the ‘Londoner’ that has been abused as it would be to boost Ken Livingstone’s fragile ego and shield him from insecurities]
The standardless EVENING STANDARD is still the main ‘evening paper’ in the London area. The free sheets, a very recent and shallow media marketing affair themselves, are yet to become as widely available as the standardless EVENING STANDARD.
So the monopoly ‘news’ that the lying EVENING STANDARD manufactures, confects, carries and perpetrates remains unchallenged in print.
The damage is done daily to the cause of ordinary knowledge about ordinary life in and around London.
The EVENING STANDARD is stuffed with garbage, spin and fabrications.
And it lies.
It has a line-up of liars and fabricators as 'columnists and commentators' whose perpetrations cannot be even listed in full, let alone be comprehensively dissected and exposed, without exhausting the reserves of patience of an ordinary mortal.
But there is the odd occasion when the lying evening title can be caught out. Like in small and unprominently displayed items it carries under the intoxication of recent CRASSrail [and similar, like the pr-Olympic Games hosting bid for 2012 stunts] propaganda windfalls.
So crass has been [and is] the EVENING STANDARD in its CRASSRAIL triumphalism that it has been publishing a number [which have now produced what can accurately be treated as a series] of so-called news items that contain information which contradict the claims made by the evening Standard itself for Crossrail.
One such piece has been found in the EVENING STANDARD’s first editions available in the East End of London at 1140 Hrs today [Monday 15 October 2007].
By-lined to their ‘transport editor’ Dick Murray [whose name has been mostly absent from the space reserved for names of the authors of the pieces promoting Crossrail in the Standard over their past few years], the piece is carried on page 8 and headlined, “Widen Crossrail to benefit all of the South-East”, the item quotes John Prideaux of Superlink [an alternative to Crossrail scheme] as follows, “We remain concerned that so much money is being spent on a rail scheme that does so little for so few”.
Khoodeelaar! has said much more than just this for years and we are able to confirm that the racist EVENING STANDARD has persistently refused to publish what we have been saying despite that fact that our analysis has been far more accurate and comprehensive, far-reaching and economically appropriate than those attributed to any other source of criticism of the CRASSrail hole plot.
I shall expose the rest of the Dick Murray piece in the next parts of my examination of the latest CRASSrail hole plot lying by the London EVENING STANDARD.
I shall also show how it is discreditable that the so-called Superlink alternative has been messed up by its own promoters, including by Michael Schabas.
Although thy EVENING STANDARD piece as published did not refer to Schabas, it is Schabas that has been making the running as the prize idiot who posed at one stage in the past 10 months as an expert [!] of some sort skilled to expose the lying by some of the tea peddling the CRASSrail ‘merits’ before the poodle committee of MPs. The Schabas line was maintained in the months that followed.
He kept popping up and made sure each time to have himself referred to as having played a major part in the Channel Tunnel rail link.
In fact he was still referring to the Stupidlink alternative until a fortnight or s ago and surprise surprise, he changed his tune as fast as Gordon Brown cud utter the word Crossrail!

Alistair Darling, Gordon Brown's 'successor' as UK finance Minister, was the subject of several adverse comments during the weekend. Especially on Sunday 14 October 2007, he was unfavourably compared with the Opposition Conservative counterpart, George Osbourne. The interview as shown on the BBC 1 slot the Politics Show during the day, was also commented on when observers pointed out THAT Darling dodged the questions on the show.. Later on in the evening, the otherwise pliant, servile and time-serving Rory Bremner kept up the appearance of his Channel 4 'satire' [what satire!] programme being 'in tune with the political atmosphere' by parading a series of pointless and fake sketches around Gordon Brown to whose image he attached that of a supine Alistair Darling. Only the two Johns ['Bird and Fortune'] could warrant any recognition of being remotely authentic about the ghastly week of fakery that Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling had inflicted on the political time. But the sub-editor/s at the INDEPENDENT must be noted for coming up with the headline containing the words 'codswallop chancellor' that may outlast the tenure of Darling and Brown at their given official addresses in Downing Street. The latest Crassrail minister's statement in the Commons as reported by HANSARD includes these utterances. He was speaking earlier this week on the 'Carry over' motion on the CRASSRail Bill before the Queen's speech.

Before I do so, I am putting his particular utterances on the record here and in quotes.

Khoodeelaar! The East End of London campaign against the CrossRail hole Bill [‘the CrossRail Bill’ in the UK House of Commons] notes the unconstitutional attitude as expressed by the transport minister Tom Harris in your report. Mr. Harris is showing undemocratic contempt for the principles and the practice of the sovereignty of parliament by expressing the presumption that he does not believe “that anyone wants the bill to be infinitely delayed or, worse still, cancelled” _Where, in any of the recorded contributions from any MP was there any suggestion of infinite delay? _Mr Harris is using stock phrases so typical of machine placemen in regimes that abhor democratic scrutiny of executive plots. _The particular Crossrail hole plot is linked with Big Business lobby of regional and UK central executive careerists and time-servers typified by the likes of the ‘Undone mayor’ Ken Livingstone. _Livingstone has hogged most of the limelight around Gordon Brown’s recent and unconvincing subscription to the mysterious merits of this scheme as the answer to the pressing transport needs of the people of London. _The various promotional utterances by the Gordon Brown entourage during the first week of October 2007 around the CrossRail hole plot were all staged as part of the now-thwarted snap election that Brown was almost ready to call. _That snap poll alone was Brown’s reason for staging the stunt about ‘CrossRail’. On the best part of the previous decade, as the UK Finance Minister, Gordon Brown and Ken Livingstone had not agreed on any of the substantive issues especially about matters to d with the public finance of private infrastructure projects. _How significant therefore that these very two adversaries suddenly found themselves behaving - for rather pretending en stages that had been specially set up in and metaphorically] around Bournemouth in September 2007- as if they had been inseparable twins for as long as memory served! _And just days before Brown was poised to call a snap election! _It is already emerging that Livingstone was ‘perhaps’ a tad too hasty to celebrate the ‘deal’ by claiming that he had ‘delivered’ CrossRail, thus showing up any tangible opponent to his ambition to remain the occupant of the ego-boosting office of ‘Undone mayor’ forever! _A democratic debate and scrutiny in any legitimate forum, far from being a tendency towards delaying an appropriate and sound plan, can ensure that any serious drawbacks that are found in or that remain in any plan that is supposed to be backed by several £Billions of public cash are dealt with thus sparing the public and the public purse avoidable wastes and losses in the future. _However, even if there were evidence to support the demand for a thorough review and examination of the transport needs in London in the context of the Uk economy including the central factor of the choice of the optimum mode of transport to meet the present and the mid term needs, such as Khoodeelaar! has been making for nearly 4 years of opposition to the current CrossRail hole plot, the likes of Tom Harris do not seem disposed to tolerate the emergence of such a rational answer to the transport problems. _Instead, they have gone for the fanatical short cut: they utter the mantra of Crossrail rather than talk about addressing the huge transport needs that the UK economy must see met and the capacity of the economy. _They have been behaving like a cult that has been recruited to the secret Crossrail plan which they insist must be supported by £Billions of public money but without parliamentary or democratic scrutiny! _Those who have been placed as the current UK Govt front men and women to tout for the CrossRail plot – as distinctly different from arguing for the democratically arrived at solution/s to the transport needs such as a mode that best suits the given regional and [allegedly] strategic needs, the demands and the sustainable capacity of the UK public purse [whence the main bulk of the costs is being forced by the pluggers of the CrossRail scam] have been discrediting their own claims to be respecters of the democratic process of decision-making by undermining even the most tokenistic of debates, the most pliant of scrutinies by exaggerating the adverse effects of upholding democracy! _During the Second Reading held in the House of Commons in July 2005, the then CrossRail hole plot Bill minister Alistair Darling led the insertion into the terms of reference for the ‘CrossRail Bill select committee of MPs’ of a BARRIER, a ban thus preventing that select committee from scrutiny the ‘Crossrail Bill’! _So the utterances by Tom Harris must be to do with the fact that even he knows that when the same Bill goes to the currently constituted Upper Chamber and is subjected to the corresponding select committee procedures, it may actually be scrutinized in an unpredictable way, so unpredictably that the truth about the fundamentally flawed nature of the plot may come out! _Is that what Tom Harris is aware of and is ‘career wise’ ‘worried’ about? _If it is, he is right to be worried! _Because no honest, informed and responsible scrutiny of the ‘Crossrail Bill’ as it is, can support it in the context of the economy, the society, the environment and the finance.

There is no reason to think that the ego of the egotist Ken Livingstone will be ever satisfied, no matter what publicly-paid for glory platforms he is given. This is particularly the case with the thousands of people among the East |End and inner city parts of London this weekend who will suffer as a result of the greedy, egotistic role played by Livingstone as a tout for CRASSrail hole plot. The Crossrail hole-plot-backer ‘Undone mayor’ Ken Livingstone has misled people and has sought to occupy publicly-paid for positions by lying right, left and centre. Never more so than in his egotistic and undignified assumption that he must get all the glory-making headlines. He has come unstuck on the Olympics hosting bid. The 2012 Olympics stunt is going to cost more than just extra £Billions. So is Crossrail. 0950 GMT London Friday 19 October 2007 _There is a piece in the Times, attributed to a Lucy Alexander, prompting property speculation. _But she manages to attack and misrepresent the East End in a way that would not be expected if she wrote a truthful, respectful and honest piece. As, she would have written differently and made the opposite points the racist and the offensive comments she has published via the Times. _The fact that the piece is apparently about property but reproduces some of the most racist and ignorant stereotypes and falsifications against the Bangladeshis, is not unconnected with the same attitude that underlies the behaviour of the local Tower Hamlets Council in its own peddling of the CrossRail hole-plotters' lies. More on that in the later parts of this commentary. _Back to Lucy Alexander and her piece as published by the Times today. _She offers no evidence far less explanation. In a piece that is essentially about property speculation, she as manages to perpetuate a number op prejudicial stereotypes at the expense of the Bangladeshis. _She does not say what studies she made of the UK economy, or what evidence she ever looked for to explain the causal link between Bangaldeshi women not working and the perpetuated suggestion that the preponderance of ‘worklessness’ is attributable to some mysterious propensity on the parts of the Bangladeshis generally and the Bangladeshi women in particular. __Lucy Alexander must have been resident in a fantasy part of Tower Hamlets in the East End of London for her to say that : __“two thirds of local Bangladeshi women of working age were unemployed. My flatmates and I were often the only women in the street not wearing burkas. A local policeman kindly informed me, while handing me a rape alarm, that my street was known as “the front line” in fights between rival gangs of drug dealers.” __[To be continued]

The free sheets, a very recent and shallow media marketing affair themselves, are yet to become as widely available as the standardless EVENING STANDARD. __So the monopoly ‘news’ that the lying EVENING STANDARD manufactures, confects, carries and perpetrates remains unchallenged in print. __The damage is done daily to the cause of ordinary knowledge about ordinary life in and around London. __The EVENING STANDARD is stuffed with garbage, spin and fabrications. __And it lies. __It has a line-up of liars and fabricators as 'columnists and commentators' whose perpetrations cannot be even listed in full, let alone be comprehensively dissected and exposed, without exhausting the reserves of patience of an ordinary mortal. __But there is the odd occasion when the lying evening title can be caught out. Especially on Sunday 14 October 2007, he was unfavourably compared with the Opposition Conservative counterpart, George Osbourne. The interview as shown on the BBC 1 slot the Politics Show during the day, was also commented on when observers pointed out THAT Darling dodged the questions on the show.. Later on in the evening, the otherwise pliant, servile and time-serving Rory Bremner kept up the appearance of his Channel 4 'satire' [what satire!] programme being 'in tune with the political atmosphere' by parading a series of pointless and fake sketches around Gordon Brown to whose image he attached that of a supine Alistair Darling. Only the two Johns ['Bird and Fortune'] could warrant any recognition of being remotely authentic about the ghastly week of fakery that Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling had inflicted on the political time. The latest Crassrail minister's statement in the Commons as reported by HANSARD includes these utterances. He was speaking earlier this week on the 'Carry over' motion on the CRASSRail Bill before the Queen's speech.

Before I do so, I am putting his particular utterances on the record here and in quotes.

On the best part of the previous decade, as the UK Finance Minister, Gordon Brown and Ken Livingstone had not agreed on any of the substantive issues especially about matters to d with the public finance of private infrastructure projects. _How significant therefore that these very two adversaries suddenly found themselves behaving - for rather pretending en stages that had been specially set up in and metaphorically] around Bournemouth in September 2007- as if they had been inseparable twins for as long as memory served! _And just days before Brown was poised to call a snap election! _It is already emerging that Livingstone was ‘perhaps’ a tad too hasty to celebrate the ‘deal’ by claiming that he had ‘delivered’ CrossRail, thus showing up any tangible opponent to his ambition to remain the occupant of the ego-boosting office of ‘Undone mayor’ forever! _A democratic debate and scrutiny in any legitimate forum, far from being a tendency towards delaying an appropriate and sound plan, can ensure that any serious drawbacks that are found in or that remain in any plan that is supposed to be backed by several £Billions of public cash are dealt with thus sparing the public and the public purse avoidable wastes and losses in the future. _However, even if there were evidence to support the demand for a thorough review and examination of the transport needs in London in the context of the Uk economy including the central factor of the choice of the optimum mode of transport to meet the present and the mid term needs, such as Khoodeelaar! has been making for nearly 4 years of opposition to the current CrossRail hole plot, the likes of Tom Harris do not seem disposed to tolerate the emergence of such a rational answer to the transport problems. _Instead, they have gone for the fanatical short cut: they utter the mantra of Crossrail rather than talk about addressing the huge transport needs that the UK economy must see met and the capacity of the economy. _They have been behaving like a cult that has been recruited to the secret Crossrail plan which they insist must be supported by £Billions of public money but without parliamentary or democratic scrutiny! _Those who have been placed as the current UK Govt front men and women to tout for the CrossRail plot – as distinctly different from arguing for the democratically arrived at solution/s to the transport needs such as a mode that best suits the given regional and [allegedly] strategic needs, the demands and the sustainable capacity of the UK public purse [whence the main bulk of the costs is being forced by the pluggers of the CrossRail scam] have been discrediting their own claims to be respecters of the democratic process of decision-making by undermining even the most tokenistic of debates, the most pliant of scrutinies by exaggerating the adverse effects of upholding democracy! _During the Second Reading held in the House of Commons in July 2005, the then CrossRail hole plot Bill minister Alistair Darling led the insertion into the terms of reference for the ‘CrossRail Bill select committee of MPs’ of a BARRIER, a ban thus preventing that select committee from scrutiny the ‘Crossrail Bill’! _So the utterances by Tom Harris must be to do with the fact that even he knows that when the same Bill goes to the currently constituted Upper Chamber and is subjected to the corresponding select committee procedures, it may actually be scrutinized in an unpredictable way, so unpredictably that the truth about the fundamentally flawed nature of the plot may come out! _Is that what Tom Harris is aware of and is ‘career wise’ ‘worried’ about? _If it is, he is right to be worried! _Because no honest, informed and responsible scrutiny of the ‘Crossrail Bill’ as it is, can support it in the context of the economy, the society, the environment and the finance.

0950 GMT London Friday 19 October 2007 _There is a piece in the Times, attributed to a Lucy Alexander, prompting property speculation. _But she manages to attack and misrepresent the East End in a way that would not be expected if she wrote a truthful, respectful and honest piece. As, she would have written differently and made the opposite points the racist and the offensive comments she has published via the Times. _The fact that the piece is apparently about property but reproduces some of the most racist and ignorant stereotypes and falsifications against the Bangladeshis, is not unconnected with the same attitude that underlies the behaviour of the local Tower Hamlets Council in its own peddling of the CrossRail hole-plotters' lies. More on that in the later parts of this commentary. _Back to Lucy Alexander and her piece as published by the Times today. _She offers no evidence far less explanation. In a piece that is essentially about property speculation, she as manages to perpetuate a number op prejudicial stereotypes at the expense of the Bangladeshis. _She does not say what studies she made of the UK economy, or what evidence she ever looked for to explain the causal link between Bangaldeshi women not working and the perpetuated suggestion that the preponderance of ‘worklessness’ is attributable to some mysterious propensity on the parts of the Bangladeshis generally and the Bangladeshi women in particular. __Lucy Alexander must have been resident in a fantasy part of Tower Hamlets in the East End of London for her to say that : __“two thirds of local Bangladeshi women of working age were unemployed. My flatmates and I were often the only women in the street not wearing burkas. A local policeman kindly informed me, while handing me a rape alarm, that my street was known as “the front line” in fights between rival gangs of drug dealers.” __[To be continued]

During the years when the professorial critics of CROSSRAIL now beginning to show their own horrors of Gordon Brown’s sub-racist, London-centric crassness for CRASSrail, the Khoodeelaar! Alistair Darling, Gordon Brown's 'successor' as UK finance Minister, was the subject of several adverse comments during the weekend. Especially on Sunday 14 October 2007, he was unfavourably compared with the Opposition Conservative counterpart, George Osbourne. The interview as shown on the BBC 1 slot the Politics Show during the day, was also commented on when observers pointed out THAT Darling dodged the questions on the show.. Later on in the evening, the otherwise pliant, servile and time-serving Rory Bremner kept up the appearance of his Channel 4 'satire' [what satire!] programme being 'in tune with the political atmosphere' by parading a series of pointless and fake sketches around Gordon Brown to whose image he attached that of a supine Alistair Darling. Only the two Johns ['Bird and Fortune'] could warrant any recognition of being remotely authentic about the ghastly week of fakery that Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling had inflicted on the political time. But the sub-editor/s at the INDEPENDENT must be noted for coming up with the headline containing the words 'codswallop chancellor' that may outlast the tenure of Darling and Brown at their given official addresses in Downing Street.
